Today’s meeting of the GTPCC was held in the Community Room of Howell Furniture, 6095 Folsom in Beaumont, Texas

Attendance: 16 members and 5 guests.

No new Members, 3 Membership Renewals.

1:30p.m.: Dr. Sam opened meeting with Questions & Answers. Topics discussed:  Partitioning Software, Process Manager, USB 3.0 verses 2.0, Ira Wilsker Column on Basis Computer Training for Seniors, Router security inscription and encoding, LastPass password manager, Free NaturalReader Text to voice, Speccy system Info. program,

2:30 p.m: Guest speaker introduction, Jackie Dupuy. Director of Continuing Education at LIT. Ms. Dupuy discussed the many educational programs availabel at LIT including ed2go workforce and development training (www.ed2go.com/lit), corporate training for employer/employee, vendor partnerships/courses, the 360 training as well as college courses and online courses. Lit will put together  classes upon demand of any group.

Ira Wilsker then introduced and described the Magic Jack Plus to be placed for sale next week. Ira also donated one unit for door prize giveaway.

3:40 P.M. Treasurer Jerry McDaniel held drawing for door prizes with winners being:
